Josh is the founder of the Threshold Foundation, a national network of individuals with inherited wealth who have an interest in using that wealth as a positive force for advancing a more just and sustainable world. He also founded the Social Venture Network U.S., Europe, and Asia, which is an international network of socially driven businesspeople. He is a co- founder of Business for Social Responsibility, a co-founder of Grameen Phone, Bangladesh; a founding director and trustee of the Sigrid Rausing Trust, U.K.; and a board member of the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, the Fund for Global Human Rights, Blacksmith Institute, and the Museum for African Art.
Josh is also the managing director of Serious Change Investments; an impact venture capital  fund focused on investing and growing visionary companies and helped create Jalia Ventures, a fund focused on putting early stage capital into the hands of inspired  black entrepreneurs running impact ventures.
