Hilda brings a unique perspective to Strategic Philanthropy, having worked both on the foundation and grantee side. This gives her the necessary insight to help foundations successfully work with charities for effective results. With a B.A. in International Relations from Brown University and an M.A. in International Studies/International Administration from the University of Miami, she’s worked as a Project Analyst (The AVINA Foundation), Fundraising Coordinator (OMNI Youth Services), Program Associate (National Council of La Raza) and Client Services Coordinator (Cavanaugh, Hagan, Pierson & Mintz). As our senior advisor, she takes on a wide range of duties from grantmaking strategy development and implementation to facilitating donor-grantee relationships.
An avid traveler who is always searching for the perfect cupcake, Hilda is a strong asset to our international clients due to her passion for social entrepreneurship and sustainable development, with particular expertise and experience in Latin America. On a recent vacation in Colombia, Hilda was invited to see local groups putting philanthropic dollars to work for underprivileged children. She was re-invigorated after seeing people with limited resources working hard to positively impact their community.
