The Global Philanthropy Partnership promotes global giving and strengthens the infrastructure that assists global donors. It is the intersection between climate change and global poverty and security. Adele edits a bi–monthly newsletter, Global Giving Matter, with the Synergos Institute. Prior to her current activities she served as a senior advisor to the World Economic Forum on Philanthropy, was President of Hampshire College and then President of The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation overseeing grants of over $1.5 billion. Adele is on the Board of Marsh and McLennan Companies, the ShoreBank Corporation and ShoreBank International Ltd. and a number of non-profit organizations, including the Field Museum, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, The American Prospect, the Synergos Institute, the National Museum of Mexican Art and The Weil Foundation.
